Hi, my name is Elie Park, and I am a senior at Reedy High School in Frisco, TX. 

 

I founded Hearing Hand in 2021 when I was a sophomore and am in charge of organizing meetings, preparing lesson plans, and coordinating outreach opportunities. I started learning ASL as a freshman in high school and have been taking weekly ASL classes at the Deaf Action Center in Dallas. I plan to continue my ASL studies throughout college and my work in advocacy for marginalized communities in the future. I created Hearing Hand to provide youths like me the opportunity to embark on their own ASL journeys as advocates of the Deaf community.
